The content provider or customer defines which kind of error correction may be used to protect the contents

of the MultiMediaCard. This value is programmable.

• CRC7

The CRC7 contains the check sum for the CSD content. The check sum is computed according to chapter

“Cyclic Redundancy Check (CRC)”.

The user has to recalculate a new CRC7 after defining a new CSD.
