Functional Description

Display Memory − RAM

The static display memory (RAM) is organized into

64×4 bits or 96×4 bits and is used to store the display

data. If 32 ROW & 8 COM is selected, the RAM size

is 64×4 bits. If 24 ROW & 16 COM is selected, the

RAM size is 96×4 bits. The contents of the RAM are

directly mapped to the contents of the LED driver. If

the data in RAM is set to ″1″, the corresponding LED

will be lighted. Data in the RAM can be accessed by

the READ, WRITE, and READ-MODIFY-WRITE

commands. The contents of the RAM can be read

or written from bit 0 of the specific address. The

following is a mapping from the RAM to the LED

pattern:
