10. Application Information
1. RFID temperature sensor tag
The MLX90129 may be used as a 13.56 MHz sensor
transponder. The LC antenna is easy to implement
and to tune thanks to the integrated programmable
capacitance. The internal sensor allows monitoring
the temperature without external component.

2. RFID multi sensors tag
Sensor 1
Thanks to the multi sensor interface of the MLX90129,
two differential sensors can be added. In this
configuration 3 sensor values can be read by RFID.

3. Data logger
The MLX90129 may be used in a standalone way as a Sensor 1
data logger. The data may be stored in the internal
EEPROM or in an external serial SPI EEPROM. Using
the automatic logging mode, the MLX91029 wakes-up
each programmed time period, converts the sensor
data and stores it in the selected memory. This
process may be hold or stopped by an external SPI Sensor 2
master (microcontroller,…) or a RFID base-station. The
data stored in EEPROM may be read via RFID.
