6. LSI MAPPING AND ADDRESS MANAGEMENT

Addresses can be managed when using up to four µPD16663 LSIs, which enables the configuration of a half

VGA size LCD (320 x 480 dots). In this case, the data bus and /CS, /WE, and /OE pins can be used commonly.

The system can handle each LCD screen as a single area in memory, eliminating the need to decode multiple

µPD16663 LSIs.

The LSI No. and layout are specified by the PL0 and PL1 pins, and the DIR pin is used to determine the

direction of the LCD contents (height, width).
