2. REFERENCE CONTROL DACS (PIXEL-BY-PIXEL

ADJUSTMENT) - The reference voltage at the top

(VRT) and bottom (VRB) of the A/D can be changed

by external DACs on alternate CLOCK cycles to

change offset and scale factor. The two DACs must

have resolution and settling time characteristics con-

sistent with the application. Note the decoupling ca-

pacitors at the reference pins have to be removed

when VRT and VRB are driven dynamically. Figure 6.

demonstrates the timing for dynamically adjusting

the reference ladder of the XRD8794.
