•Used to extract contacts from wire type tab / receptacle housing.
(Take care when inserting tool as the lance section of D-5 is turned upside down to that of D-3.)
•With D-5 contacts only, it is possible to extract using a small-size slotted screwdriver.

Insert Extraction Tool in the direction
as shown, insert into the narrow lower
section of Housing’s reverse convex hole.
The tip of Extraction Tool depresses
housing lance, freeing contact.
When you butt the tip of tool at lance
section and depress it, contact is
released.
(make sure that you are holding tool in
proper position, top and bottom.)
* Take care not to insert tool into contact
section. If you’ve inserted by error,
replace the contact with a new one
before proceeding.
Contact can now be pulled out.
